A location lead is not an operating business
If you own a store and want customer cash access, describe that need as a placement enquiry. You are evaluating a service at your premises. You do not need to represent yourself as an ATM operator simply to ask what a managed arrangement would involve.
If you intend to operate equipment, evaluate acquisition, processing, funding, replenishment, maintenance, settlement records and site relationships. A projected share of surcharge income does not account for all those responsibilities. Compare operating workload and capital needs alongside revenue assumptions rather than treating the equipment as automatically passive income.
Understand a location finder’s deliverable
ATMDepot’s published FAQ describes a location-finder route involving signed site location agreements and an active independent deployer in the relevant area. It does not present a universal fee for sending an address or mentioning that a business might benefit from an ATM.
Before soliciting signatures, obtain the provider’s current requirements, approved agreement, geographic coverage and compensation terms. Do not use a company’s name as proof of a relationship that has not been established. Do not promise installation or a revenue split on behalf of an unconfirmed operator.
Check who is paying whom
A partner program may pay a finder, split operating revenue, sell equipment or send leads to operators who owe the network a fee. Read the direction of payment, not just the word referral. A program that charges an operator is not automatically an affiliate opportunity for a publisher.
Ask which event earns compensation: an introduction, accepted agreement, installation, purchase or transaction activity. Establish when payment is due, whether it can be reversed and how attribution is recorded. Without written answers, there is no reliable basis for a referral revenue forecast.
Write a role-based decision brief
State your goal and list the work you can actually perform. A store owner may offer space and access. An operator may have equipment and cash-loading capability. A finder may have qualified introductions but no operational infrastructure. These are different proposals with different responsibilities.
Send ATMRite a concise enquiry stating your role, location and intended involvement. Keep sensitive financial documents out of the first message. The next useful outcome is a scoped conversation, not guaranteed placement. Provider acceptance, service coverage and referral arrangements remain subject to individual review and written confirmation.
